Supercolor Imaging opened its doors in Laguna Beach in 1985 — before digital photography existed, before smartphones, before anyone had heard the word "inkjet." Our story begins in the darkroom, where skill, chemistry, and patience produced beautiful prints. Those same values guide everything we do today.
Laguna Beach has always been a special place — a city that takes art seriously, where galleries line the streets and festivals like the Pageant of the Masters and the Sawdust Art Festival draw artists and collectors from around the world. We've had the privilege of supporting that creative community for over four decades, helping artists reproduce their work at the highest possible fidelity, preserving family memories, and producing professional materials for local businesses.
Today, Supercolor is owned and operated by the Shahmirian Family, who runs the shop with the same hands-on commitment that has defined us from the beginning. When you bring your project to Supercolor, the team personally handles every detail — from the first conversation to the moment you hold your finished print. No order is too small. No project is too complex.
We've kept pace with technology — adding professional giclée printing, large format capabilities, film-to-digital transfers, artwork scanning with medium-format camera systems, and same-day film processing — but we've never changed what matters most: we treat every customer like a neighbor, because most of them are.
